Daniel Byrdsong
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer for Surpass Behavioral Health, Daniel Byrdsong leads strategy for the company to operate efficiently and effectively in order to provide the best care to patients. Prior to joining Surpass, Byrdsong was CFO of Autism in Motion, Inc. (AIM), where he played an active role in the early stages of establishing the company. At the end of his tenure at AIM, they operated 14 locations and served over 200 clients and their families.
Byrdsong’s passion for autism care stems from having a son with autism spectrum disorder. ABA Therapy has transformed his life personally, giving his son the needed care to go from non-verbal and no eye contact to recently completing kindergarten in a peer-based setting without the need for classroom aides.
Byrdsong has over 15 years of experience working in rapid growth environments for companies. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Lipscomb University. Byrdsong received his MBA from Vanderbilt University.
As Chief Clinical Officer of Surpass Behavioral Health, Dr. Sheri Homishak designs and oversees treatment plans for children and young adults. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Homishak previously co-founded Autism in Motion, Inc. (AIM) and developed all company protocols, policies, and procedures as it related to care of clients and clinical operations. She ensured that the quality of services remained high as the team scaled to support the growing population of individuals with an autism diagnosis.
Dr. Homishak started her career as an independent optometrist; however, when her two young sons were diagnosed with ASD she was inspired by the progress they made through ABA Therapy and shifted her career focus.
Dr. Homishak completed her undergraduate degree at Harding University, received her Doctor of Optometry from Northeastern State University, and attended Florida Institute of Technology to earn a M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis.
