Surpass Behavioral Health is proud to now provide accessible, comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for the residents of Kentucky. Currently, our services operate out of our Bowling Green, Murray and Hopkinsville evaluation centers, but services are available for all Kentucky residents.

Our psychological assessment services are carefully designed to meet the diverse needs of children and teens. Diagnostic evaluation can be the first step to your child gaining access to appropriate interventions and support to improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
At the beginning of the assessment, the Licensed Psychological Practitioner will gather your child’s comprehensive history, including personal and family background, medical history, and specific concerns. They will ask questions of you, your child, or other caregivers to gain a thorough perspective of the challenges you may be facing. Additionally, industry-standard questionnaires, cognitive tests, and observation may be used to assess cognitive and emotional functioning. The length of the assessment can vary. This may take several hours or even multiple sessions spread over weeks.
Following the assessment, our clinician will provide a comprehensive diagnostic report. This report will provide a detailed overview of your child, including diagnostic impressions, clinical recommendations, and next steps for your family.
Treatment options may encompass a range of interventions, including counseling, behavior therapies like Applied Behavior Analysis, medication, lifestyle adjustments, and/or support services. Our clinician will consider your child’s unique strengths, preferences, and goals when formulating these individualized recommendations.
Many health insurance plans in Kentucky, including Medicaid and private insurance providers, do offer coverage for assessment services. The extent of coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements can vary widely between plans and providers.

Our team will contact your insurance provider(s) to verify coverage and ensure you are well-informed about your benefits. Our goal is to make the process as clear and efficient as possible for you.
